Winter hiking tip: Costa Brava hiking trail: Tossa de Mar

If you are looking for a beautiful trail to hike in winter with the family or on your own, the Costa Brava hiking trail of Tossa de Mar should definitely be on your list.

We have opted to start at Tossa de Mar´s football field, where it is easy to park. From here a wide forest trail climbs for about 2,5 km until you arrive at Coll del Sastre, a crossroads in the middle of the mountains. We continue straight ahead, descending via a campsite, towards a gorgeous little cove called Cala Pola. At this little cove the stunning Costa Brava trails meanders up and down along the rugged coast, crossing Cala Bona, another marvellous petit cove. We continue along the coast, at times along a quite steep and rocky path but never very difficult. This part of the trail has now been cleaned up and ropes have been placed at the more exposed cliffs. After a steep climb we arrive at the road. Caution here as we have to walk some 150m along the road. Soon we will descend via another very beautiful trail, with stunning views of the old village of Tossa de Mar. It is only another 15 minutes before we arrive at the main beach of this beautifully preserved town, which is well worth a visit!
