Total distance: 34 km

Today, you embark on a breathtaking circular ride through the volcanic wonderland of La Garrotxa, starting and ending in the charming town of Olot. This spectacular route takes you past majestic volcanic cones, and some of the region’s most beautiful villages, where time seems to stand still.

Distance: 60 km

Route from Olot to Girona along the Greenway (old railway), visiting the beautiful valley of La Vall d'en Bas, known as the “Catalan Switzerland”, with its stunning scenery and typical villages such as Sant Privat d'en Bas and Hostalets d'en Bas. After the “Coll d’en Bas” (620 m) you will follow the Burgent river valley to La Cellera, where you reconnect with the river Ter, which continues to Girona.

Distance: 40 km

Pedal your way from the charming city of Girona to the stunning Mediterranean coast, following the historic railway route of "El Carrilet"—now a dedicated cycling and pedestrian path. This 40 km journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, from lush countryside to coastal breezes, on a smooth and effortless ride. Your adventure ends in the beautiful town of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, home to a vibrant seaport, rich history, and cultural treasures. Unwind with a stay right by the sea, at the enchanting Sant Pol Beach, where golden sands and turquoise waters set the scene for a perfect evening

Distance: 31 km

Today’s journey takes you along the breathtaking Costa Brava, following the curve of Palamós Bay toward the idyllic town of Calella de Palafrugell. Along the way, explore the vibrant seaside towns of Platja d’Aro and Palamós, where you can visit the bustling fishing port and indulge in some of the region’s fresh, exquisite seafood. Just inland, rolling vineyards paint a picturesque backdrop, adding a touch of rustic beauty to your ride. End your day in Calella de Palafrugell, a charming former fishing village that has preserved its authentic Mediterranean soul, offering a magical setting for a perfect seaside stay.

Distance: 38km

Leave the coast behind and venture into the enchanting inland of Baix Empordà, where history and tradition come to life. As you pedal through this idyllic landscape, you’ll be captivated by ancient medieval villages, their terracotta rooftops rising like storybook scenes amid rolling countryside. Along the way, explore the cobbled streets of Peratallada and Pals, two of the region’s most beautifully preserved gems—charming enough to lure you away from the beach for a taste of Catalonia’s rich heritage.

Drift effortlessly from village to village, stopping at local hidden taverns to savor a glass of regional wine and indulge in delicious, authentic tapas. This ride isn’t just about the journey—it’s about immersing yourself in the timeless beauty, flavors, and slow-paced magic of the Empordà.

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye. If you need to get back to the airport of Barcelona or Girona, there is a direct bus from Palafrugell to both cities. You can also hire a private transfer.
