Itinerary

Welcome to sunny Andalusia! After arriving at Malaga or Seville airport, make your own way to Ronda, where a private transfer will take you to Zahara de la Sierra. Take your time to visit this beautiful village and enjoy the delicious tapas.

Distance: 15.3 km / +731 m / -376 m

Difficulty: easy to moderate; you will be climbing quite a bit today, but only 2 kilometres of the total climb are steep.

Description: Today you will walk from the beautiful old town centre of Zahara along the reservoir and through the oak forests. Via the Gaidovar mountain pass, you will gradually climb higher until you descend to the beautiful Grazalema.

Overnight stay in Grazalema.

Distance: 10.7 km / +758m / -756m

Difficulty: easy to moderate; a few steep climbs; the weather can change quickly here; clothing and footwear suitable for high mountains.

Description: We climb to the highest peaks of the Endrinal mountains via a beautiful path. After a long climb over rocky terrain, we reach the ‘Reloj’ and the ‘Simancón’. We descend back to Grazalema via a beautiful path.

Second night in Grazalema 

 

Distance: 14.7 km / +925m / -997m

Difficulty: moderate; you will have to climb and descend steeply at times; clothing and footwear suitable for high mountains.

Description: a strenuous walk along the higher peaks of this mountain range. The forests give way to bare mountain tops, with fantastic views. Your final destination is the beautiful village of Villaluenga del Rosario.

Overnight stay in Villaluenga del Rosario

 

Distance: 16.9 km / +453m / -577m
Difficulty: easy to moderate; almost 17 km, but only one difficult climb.
Description: We leave the higher mountains and hike through vast cork oak forests and beautiful valleys where cows and sheep graze, and vultures soar overhead. We arrive in Montejaque, a charming village.

Distance: 11.6 km / +511m / -439m
Difficulty: easy; wide paths without technical difficulties, only a final climb to enter Ronda.
Description: Initially, the route climbs, but soon we arrive in rolling fields with a view of beautiful Ronda. We walk to the Guadalevin River, which we follow almost to Ronda. We take the path with beautiful views until we reach the old city center.

 

We enjoy a second day in Ronda, a beautiful historic village with many monuments, museums, restaurants and a pleasant shopping and walking centre.

Overnight stay in Ronda.

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to Andalusia. Transfer service back to the airport of Malaga
