Stroll the ancient streets of Cádiz—one of the oldest cities in Europe—sip Manzanilla wine in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and savor tapas under the sun in quaint plazas. As you leave the marshes and head inland, Andalusia reveals its rural soul before you reach Seville, a city bursting with life, music, and architectural splendor.

In case you are renting a bike, we will prepare the bicycle according to your needs and preferences.
Today you cycle deep into the heartland of Cádiz, a land of wetlands, rural charm, and centuries of cultural heritage.
You set off from Puerto de Santa María, riding through the vast Toruños Marshes Park, a protected natural area of more than 1,000 hectares inside the Bay of Cádiz. Following scenic trails, you cross the Guadalete River and enter the shade of the Algaida Forest.From here, your route continues along the shimmering bay, where golden sand beaches stretch into the horizon. Along the way, you pass through lively fishing villages and towns steeped in flamenco spirit, before finally arriving in the ancient city of Cádiz — one of Europe’s oldest settlements, where history and the sea meet at every corner.

Your day begins with a scenic 40-minute ferry ride across the Bay of Cádiz to the town of Rota, where your cycling adventure starts. From here, you follow a quiet path winding between orchards, vineyards, and open fields, soaking in the peaceful countryside atmosphere.
As you approach Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the landscape opens to reveal one of Andalusia’s most celebrated towns, famed for its crisp manzanilla wine, vibrant tapas culture, and wide golden beaches. It’s the perfect place to end the day with a glass in hand, watching the sun sink over the mouth of the Guadalquivir River.

Today you leave Sanlúcar behind and pedal through a fragrant pine forest before turning inland, following the course of the Guadalquivir River. The ride takes you through a landscape of gentle hills and vast wetlands as you enter Las Marismas, a region of extraordinary ecological importance.
Here, every turn of the pedals is accompanied by nature: the shimmer of lagoons, the rustle of reeds, and the sight of migratory birds soaring overhead. Keep your eyes peeled for rare species such as the red-knobbed coot and the white-headed duck, as well as elegant herons and powerful birds of prey.
Your journey ends in Lebrija, a picture-perfect white Andalusian village with narrow streets, rich cultural heritage, and deep literary roots — it was the birthplace of Antonio de Nebrija, author of the very first Spanish grammar.
Today you follow the winding course of the Guadalquivir River, riding along a quiet asphalted road that takes you deep into the countryside. The route unfolds between fertile fields, shimmering marshes, and the steady flow of the river at your side.
With virtually no towns along the way, the day offers pure immersion in the landscapes of inland Andalusia — a tranquil stretch of open skies, birdlife, and wide horizons — before reaching Los Palacios, your destination for the night.
From here, the river guides your path until the skyline of Seville comes into view. Entering the city, you glide along its excellent network of bike lanes straight to your hotel. With the ride completed, the rest of the day is yours to explore: climb the Giralda, marvel at the world’s largest Gothic Cathedral, wander the ornate Plaza de España, or enjoy the golden glow of the Torre del Oro as the sun sets over the Guadalquivir.
