Itinerary

Arrival at Andorra on your own behalf. Upon your arrival at the hotel, our local guide will meet and greet you.

Distance: 12,8km; Climbing: 925m; Level: medium; Time: 4-6 hours

From the hotel you walk up the narrow streets of the village to start a long but easy climb through stunning pine forest. As you gain altitude, the forest makes way for endless alpine meadows bathed in the red of the alpine rose. You arrive at the high mountain lake of Siscaro, the perfect spot for a picnic. After a steep climb you arrive at the “pas de les vaques”, the highest point of today´s walk (2593m) from where you have stunning views of the surrounding mountains. From here you descend through alpine meadows back to Soldeu.

Distance: 14,4km; Climbing: 825m; Level: hard; Time: 5-7 hours

A short transfer of 5 min takes you to the car park of the valley of Incles. You start your walk with a moderate climb along the river and through meadows with an astonishing diversity of alpine flowers. You arrive at the lake of Juclar and continue to the col of Juclar, the highest point of today’s walk (2450m). Take a break to enjoy the views and a small snack before you descend via a narrow path along 3 stunning lakes. Before you begin the climb to the largest of today´s lakes, take a  rest and have a picnic. From lake Fontargente, you have a last short climb before you descend back to the car park.

Distance: 11,2km; Climbing: 540m; Level: easy; Time: 3 - 4 hours

A more relaxed day as you venture out into the valley of the river Mandriu. A transfer of 30 minutes brings you to the lake of Engolasters. A virtually flat path leads you to the hidden valley of the river Mandriu. You follow the river until you arrive at the mountain hut of Font Verd, an oasis of peace and tranquility and the perfect place for a picnic and for the brave, a swim in the ice-cold river. You return to the Lake of Engolasters via an ancient stone path. If you have some energy and time left, you can visit La Vella, the capital of Andorra.

Distance: 10,2km; Climbing: 1015m; Level: medium; Time: 5 – 6 hours

A magnificent high mountain excursion to the mighty peak of La Serrera (2905m). A short transfer of 20 min takes you to the car park of Ransol. Through pine forest you climb to the mountain hut of Coms de Jan. The views from here are spectacular and you are surrounded by groundhogs. As you continue to climb, you might spot the bearded vulture. After 6 km of steady climbing, you get to the top of La Serrera, from where the views over the nature reserve of Sorteny are absolutely spectacular. The first 2 km of the descent are via the same path but then you  follow the river Meners all the way to the car park. If you have some time left, you can visit some of the big outdoor equipment stores or go for a coffee in the nearby village of Canillo.

Distance: 9,1 km; Climbing: 772m; Level: medium; Time: 4 - 5 hours

The longest transfer of the week (1 hour), takes you to the ski-resort of Arcalis. Here you start a steady climb of 4,5 km to the top of the Tristaina Peak (2876m). The views of 360º are spectacular as the deep blue lakes are glistening below. You descend back to Arcalis via a stunning high mountain path. On your way back to the hotel, you can make a stop in the village of Ordino, one of the most beautiful villages of Andorra and a great place to relax, have a beer and stroll through the narrow streets.

Distance: 10,75km; Climbing: 615m; Level: easy; Time: 4 - 5 hours

A 10 minute transfer from the hotel to the ski-resort of Grau Roig and after a climb of 2 km you enter the fantasy world of the Lakes of Pessons, a series of some 20 high mountain lakes that are breathtakingly beautiful. Your circular route takes you through this fascinating landscape of high peaks, thick pine forest and pristine mountain lakes. You can enjoy a nice long picnic and Spanish siesta at one of the lakes. It takes a brave man/woman to swim in these freezing cold waters! Transfer back to the hotel.

Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye to Andorra. End of the journey
